Who the Thunder Bay and District Labour Council (TBDLC) is:

The Labour Council is a group of people elected or volunteered byt their locals, who The membership is made of delegates chosen/elected by their local unions to come together and learn, discuss, promote and react to labour issues.. A membership fee is paid by the Locals to be affiliated with the Council.

The delegation doesn't consist of just one union, but many (including but not limited to:

Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW)
Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC-CEIU)
Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU)
Canadian Office and Professional Employees Union (COPE)
Canadian Auto Workers' Union (CAW)
United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW)
Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE)
United Steelworkers (USW/TCU)
Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF)
a Health and Safety Representative (WHSC)
a Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) representative
and many others.

During the meetings - information is shared on labour that affect those unions, feedback, action that may be requested to take, inform the labour movement of future requests, community involvement and campaigns to get information out to the public to better understand a situation.
